The redfish are returning to Mosquito Lagoon this month. My partner and I enjoyed a charter to Hong Kong Island where we saw a school of nearly 250 reds, but they were finicky. Earlier in the morning we found a school in a shallow west of JB’s Fishcamp good for lots of action. Every fifth cast produced a red, the majority of them in the slot, and sometimes a good trout (too bad they were out of season). Finally, we each kept a 26 inch redfish, one 6 pounds and another 7 pounds.
